Syntax

object.BrowserCloseOption
object.BrowserCloseOption = Value

Data type

Enumeration

Description

Returns (first syntax line) or specifies (second syntax line) what happens to Reflection sessions that are running in a web browser (such as Netscape and Internet Explorer) when the browser is closed, the browser's paging limit has been reached, or the Reflection sessions are cleared from the browser's cache. By default, Reflection prompts the user with a dialog box if active Reflection sessions are running in the browser. The dialog box provides one of two options: continuing the active Reflection session outside of the browser or exiting Reflection.

There might be instances when this prompting is inappropriate. For example, you might use this property if a you want to run a Reflection session in a Visual Basic form using Microsoft's Internet Control (included with Internet Explorer version 3.0 or higher). This property gives you the option of disabling Reflection's default prompting when the Reflection session shuts down after the Visual Basic application closes.

Values

The default is rcBrowserCloseAskUserIfActive.

rcBrowserCloseAskUser Display a dialog box that prompts the user to Continue the Reflection session outside of the browser, or to Exit, which means disconnecting Reflection if connected to a host, stopping any running macros, and closing the Reflection session.

rcBrowserCloseAskUserIfActive Display a dialog box only if the Reflection session is active. The dialog box prompts the user to Continue the active Reflection session outside of the browser, or to Exit, which means disconnecting Reflection if connected to a host, stopping any running scripts, and closing the Reflection session.

rcBrowserCloseContinueSession Automatically run the Reflection session outside of the browser in a standalone state, without any prompting.

rcBrowserCloseExitSession Automatically end the Reflection session without any prompting; stopping any running scripts and disconnecting from the host if connected.
