Introduction

This document contains late-breaking information about Attachmate INFOConnect Airlines Gateway version 3.1. INFOConnect Airlines Gateway is a combination of software components and administrative tools that run on a Windows server. You can use this product to manage communication between networked PCs and SABRE, Galileo/Apollo, EDS Shares, or any host that supports MATIP protocol, including Amadeus and Worldspan.

New Features

This release includes the following features:

Windows 7 support and Vista certification. This product has been extensively tested with Windows 7 and Vista and is certified for use with Vista.
Attachmate implementation of Windows Vista certified installers. Our installer now takes advantage of the MS Windows Installer XML (WIX) open source toolkit and MSI-based deployment technologies and customizations.
New display font for improved scalability. INFOConnect now installs the Segoe UI Mono TrueType font with special emulation characters. To use this font in a session, choose Options > Settings. On the left, select Display. The Fonts tab provides a menu from which you can choose the font.

Ability to limit log size. Limit the amount of hard disk space devoted to log and trace files. You can constrain these by size the number of trace files allowable on the system at any given time. When the maximum is reached, these files are overwritten in the given sequence. For more information, see "Tracing INFOConnect Paths" in the INFOConnect Airlines Gateway Product Guide.

Inactivity Timer. An optional inactivity timer has been added to INFOConnect Gateway. If a session has been inactive, with no data passed in either direction for a given amount of time, the session can be terminated and its address returned to the available pool.
