Xfr400SortSeq Property


Gets or sets a sort sequence for the data being transferred. The specified sort sequence determines the order of characters in the alphabet when fields are alphabetized. s.

Property Value

The default is "*JOB". Possible values are:

Value Description
*HEX Uses the EBCDIC hexadecimal sort sequence.
*JOB Uses the AS/400 job default.
*LANGIDSHR Uses a shared weight table.
*LANGIDUNQ Uses a unique weight table.

You can also specify a table name. Use this syntax:
<library name>/<file name>

This string can be up to 220 characters long.

Exceptions
ExceptionDescription
Attachmate.Reflection.SecuredSettingException This exception is thrown when you modify a InfoConnect property that has been secured via the Permissions Manager, or if such a modification requires Administrator privileges.
System.ArgumentNullException Thrown if the set parameter is null (Nothing in Visual Basic). Use an zero-length string to indicate an empty value.
System.ArgumentException Thrown if the set parameter length is too long.
Remarks
The sort sequence also affects any comparisons based on characters in the fields. For example, the following statement specifies use of the EBCDIC hexadecimal sort sequence:

FileTransfer.Xfr400SortSeq = "*HEX"

This property affects AS/400 data transfer and is only relevant for 5250 sessions.
