Starting Your Sessions

All of the terminal emulators and all but one of the file transfer products included on your CD run within an application called Accessory Manager. DataXpress--ST has its own application window. (Some other accessories do not run within Accessory Manager.)

The procedure used to start a session varies, depending on which product you installed and how the product was installed. The following procedures explain how to start Accessory Manager and DataXpress--ST sessions. To create encrypted sessions, see Encrypting EXTRA! for Accessory Manager Sessions or Encrypting OTS Sessions.

To start Accessory Manager and open a session
  1. Click the Windows Start button, point to All Programs, point to Attachmate INFOConnect Enterprise Edition, and click Accessory Manager 32-bit.

  2. To create a new session, click New Session from the File menu. The New Session Wizard guides you through the creation of a session and, if appropriate, an INFOConnect path.

  3. To open an existing session, click Open Session from the File menu and double-click the session to open.

You can create a shortcut for any existing session and then open that session simply by double-clicking the shortcut. (Refer to your Windows documentation for instructions on this procedure.)

To start DataXpress-ST and open a session
