InfoConnect for Airlines VBA Guide
WordWrap3270 Property
Gets or sets whether text wraps to the next available field when entered text is too long to fit in a text entry field.
Object.WordWrap3270 As Boolean

Property Value

When Word Wrap is False (the default) and text exceeds the current field length, InfoConnect attempts to enter it into the next available field. If that field is protected, the text is truncated at the end of the unprotected field and the terminal enters reset mode.

When WordWrap3270 is True, text is wrapped to the next field, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The field length must be equal to or greater than the value specified by the WordWrap3270MinimumFieldLength property. (The default value is 40.)
  • The continuation field must start at the same column position as the field that text is wrapping from.

Attachmate.Reflection.SecuredSettingException This exception is thrown when you modify a property that was secured via the Permissions Manager, or that can only be modified by an Administrator.
This property only applies to 3270 sessions.
The following example configures InfoConnect to wrap text whenever the text entry field is at least 50 characters long:
Sub SetWordWrap()
    ThisIbmTerminal.WordWrap3270 = True
    ThisIbmTerminal.WordWrap3270MinimumFieldLength = 50
End Sub
