Connect using Client Authorization

Use this procedure to create an Extra! emulation session that connects to the Reflection Security Proxy and requires a user token for client authorization. The Reflection Security Proxy requires client authorization by default.

To configure a session

  1. In a web browser, start Management and Security Server by setting the URL to:

    http:// server:port /rweb/AdminStart.html

where server and port are replaced with the Reflection Management server address.

  2. Click Administrative WebStation and log on as administrator.

  3. From the left pane, click Session Manager.

  4. Click Add to open the Add New Session page.

  5. From the Windows-Based list, select Extra!, type a descriptive session name. This name is sent to the emulator and is included in the session profile.

  6. Click Continue.

  7. Specify the directory on the user's workstation where settings files will be stored and whether these files will overwrite existing user files.

  8. Click Launch.

Extra! opens in Administrative WebStation mode to the New Session Wizard.

  9. Follow the wizard's prompts to configure the session. Make sure to leave the default option Reflection Security Proxy selected as the type of connection.

  10. On the Reflection Security tab, from the Proxy server address menu, specify a Reflection Security Proxy Server.

A description of the selected Reflection Security Proxy Server appears below the fields.

  11. Type the destination host IP address or host name and port number in the fields provided.

  12. Click Next and continue through the wizard to complete the configuration.

  13. When you click Finish, the session opens in Extra!.

After the session successfully connects, you can further customize the session in Extra!.

  14. Save and close the new session.

The session file is then saved to the Reflection Management Server. To make the session available to specific users, see Make Sessions Available to Users from Administrative WebStation.

To create another session, repeat this procedure. You can only create (or have open) one session at a time when running Extra! in Administrative WebStation mode.
