Adding Files to a Custom Installation

This part of the wizard allows you to provide additional files with your custom installation. For example, you may want to include a preconfigured session file, or a macro.

To add files to a custom installation
  1. Run the Custom Installation wizard.

From Step 10 of 14 (in the Custom Installation wizard), you can select files to add to your installation.

  2. Click the Add button.

The Add Files to Installation dialog box appears.

  3. Under File Information, type the path and filename of the file you want to add.

If the Custom Installation wizard recognizes the file as a session configuration, the Shortcut Information fields become available, allowing you to create a shortcut to the file being added.

  4. Choose the host type and language for your file.

These options help the installer place the file in the correct location.

  5. Click OK.

  6. If you are creating an uncompressed MSI file, select the file you want to add, click the Add to Image button, and select the folder with the image you want to install.

This copies the file from its current location to the install image directory.

  7. Complete the wizard.
