IBM Mainframe Printer

IBM Mainframe Printer configurations require an association with a terminal configuration. Associations are made on the host from the terminal configuration with the SLU name from the printer configuration.

You can choose the following configuration settings:

• Connections Properties, including host address and security settings.
• Trace Properties, which lets you enable a viewer trace.
• Printer Properties, including destination and formatting settings.

For IBM Mainframe printer configurations, if you select Printer properties, a different set of printer properties will display depending on whether or not Text Only Printing has been selected for that configuration. The Text Only Printing option is located on the Destination page. (Select the configuration, click Properties, select Printer, click Configure, then select the Destination tab.)

For ActiveX Printer configurations, trace properties are not available, and selecting the Text Only Printing option does not change the set of printer properties available.
