Customizing the EXTRA! X-treme Installation

The Custom Installation Wizard is available from the Start Menu under the EXTRA! X-treme program group. It will only modify EXTRA! X-treme .msi files.

Once you've specified what files to modify or create, the Custom Installation Wizard interface is similar to a normal install, except that it allows you to make the choices that define the installation.

To customize a .msi file
  1. Run the Custom Installation Wizard.

    The Custom Installation Wizard is available from the Start Menu under the EXTRA! X-treme program group.

  2. Type a path and filename to open a new or existing MSI file. Existing MSI files cannot be overwritten, so changes must be saved to a different filename or directory.

    The default MSI file (used for most installs) on the cd is ./EXTRA!/ATMEE80.MSI. For the option pack, use EE80OPAK.MSI. For the connections pack, use EE80CPAK.MSI.

  3. Create a new MST file or select an existing one to modify.

    The MST file holds all customized changes to the MSI file, including additional files and file information, and is applied to the MSI file during the installation.

  4. Complete the wizard.
