Configuring SSL in the Session Configuration

You configure a client session to use an SSL connection through MCS within the session configuration.

To configure a Terminal Viewer session to use MCS security services
In the MCS left pane under Products, click Terminal Viewers. Under Terminal Viewers, navigate to the configuration pages for your terminal type. For example, to display the configuration pages for a 3270 terminal, click Terminal Viewers, IBM Mainframe Configurations, 3270 Terminals, 3270 Terminal. In the MCS right pane, click New Configuration. Name your configuration, and then click Next. On the General page, specify a Host Alias/IP Address. Click the Security tab. Under Security (SSL), select SSL via Security Services. If necessary, under Address and Port, update the host name and HTTPS port for the MCS server through which you want to connect.

To configure a Terminal Viewer session to use MCS security services

In the MCS left pane under Products, click Terminal Viewers.
Under Terminal Viewers, navigate to the configuration pages for your terminal type.
For example, to display the configuration pages for a 3270 terminal, click Terminal Viewers, IBM Mainframe Configurations, 3270 Terminals, 3270 Terminal.
In the MCS right pane, click New Configuration.
Name your configuration, and then click Next.
On the General page, specify a Host Alias/IP Address.
Click the Security tab.
Under Security (SSL), select SSL via Security Services.
If necessary, under Address and Port, update the host name and HTTPS port for the MCS server through which you want to connect.
