Creating a Session Configuration File

Using EXTRA! X-treme, you can create configuration files, but you must have EXTRA! X-treme MCS Administrator's Edition to publish configuration files to MCS for deployment and synchronization.

To create a session configuration file
  1. When starting the MCS Administrator's Edition, the Start By prompt appears. Select the Creating a New Session option button, then click OK.

    If you set up EXTRA! X-treme to show the Open Session dialog box at startup instead, open a session, then choose New Session from the File menu.

  2. In the EXTRA! Centralized Management Server dialog box, type the information needed to log on to MCS, then click OK.

  3. Use the New Session wizard to configure a session.

    For help with the specific settings in the wizard, click the Help button. When you are finished, the new session opens.

  4. From the File menu, choose Save Session.

    You can't publish the file until it has been saved.
