To log trace information to help troubleshoot problems that can occur in Management & Control Services (MCS) and Terminal Viewers.

Method

Using the MCS tracing function, you can view and save trace data from Terminal Viewers sessions in one central location. Tracing is not enabled by default — to enable it, you must configure and then start the configured trace.

Tracing can be used with both terminal and printer configurations. Each session logs its own trace entries locally (a separate file is created for each session), and data is reported to MCS only when requested. Using MCS, you can view and save trace data in one central location.
