FILTER

Syntax: FILTER filtername

where filtername is the name of a GenFormat filter routine that you have created. To create your own filtering routine, see Creating a Filter.

This option specifies the name of a filtering procedure, which is an entry point in a support library. Span calls the filtering procedure in support library for each data set record. Your entry for SUPPORT determines the library that Span calls.
