Specifying Location of Audit Files
Accessories can specify where the Engine should look for audit files. The default is the pack stated in the DMSII CONTROL file.
- For any user-written Accessory to look for audit files in a location other than the default, you must include the DBAUDITPACK (packname) call to tell the Engine to look for audit files on packname.
- For the Tanker Accessory, however, you can edit the AUDIT ON packname option in the parameter file. You might do this when you don’t run the Tanker Accessory very often, such as running it only at night. In this case, the audit files are probably moved to a different location by the time you run the Tanker Accessory (for example, to tape and then maybe to a pack that has extra space).
Finally, regardless of where the Engine is looking for audit files, an operator can change that location by responding to a NO FILE auditfilename condition as follows:
mixnumber FA FAMILYNAME = packname, KIND = DISK, CYCLE = 0
where mixnumber is the mix number of the Tanker Accessory. The Engine will continue to look on the pack specified by packname for subsequent audit files.
